Professional assembly service

The assembly service covers delivery, full assembly by our team and removal of all packaging. Bolt-down is a separate add-on. If you did not include it at checkout contact us before your installation date to add it.

  • Assembly service (delivery, assembly and packaging removal): £499
  • Bolt-down on standard surfaces (not porcelain): £100
  • Bolt-down on porcelain tiles: £250

Once your order is confirmed we will contact you to arrange a delivery and assembly date. We aim to schedule within 14 business days. During our busy season (February to September) this can take up to 3 weeks.

Before we arrive

  • Ground preparation must be completed. Refer to the Ground Preparation Guide before doing anything to your surface.
  • The installation area must be completely cleared of furniture, planters and any obstacles.
  • You must be home throughout as a householder needs to be present for the full duration of the visit.
  • If you rent or lease, written permission from your landlord must be obtained before installation.

Didn’t add bolt-down at checkout? No problem, just get in touch before we arrive and we can sort it. If your surface isn’t suitable for standard bolts let us know in advance and we’ll figure out the best approach together.

On rare occasions a second visit is needed to complete the work. We will let you know as soon as possible if this is the case.

Self-assembly

  • Allow 2 to 3 hours for your 3m x 4m model.
  • You need at least two people. Do not attempt assembly alone.
  • Choose a dry calm day as wind makes assembly significantly harder and less safe.
  • Before starting check every component is present and undamaged. If anything is missing or damaged contact us before beginning assembly.

Changed your mind about self-assembly? The professional assembly service can still be added. Contact us before your delivery is scheduled to arrange it.

Bolting down

Bolting down must happen immediately after assembly is complete. An unbolted pergola is at risk of wind movement which will damage the frame, louvres and blinds and will invalidate your warranty. Any visit from our team to fix issues caused by an unbolted pergola will be charged at £250 plus parts.

  • The expansion bolts that come with your pergola are suited to solid concrete and well-laid paving.
  • Porcelain or stone? You’ll need diamond drill bits as they’re not included in the box.
  • Decking or a non-standard surface? Drop us a message and we’ll advise on the right fixings.
  • You’re looking at 8 to 16 bolts depending on your configuration. If for any reason you can’t get to 8 give us a call before proceeding.

On installation day

  • Base plates get fixed and bolted down first before any of the frame is assembled.
  • If you have a heater it goes in during the build.
  • The motorised louvre system is set up and fully tested.
  • LED lighting zones, remote pairing and app connection are all completed.
  • The team will walk you through everything before they leave.
  • All packaging is taken away.
  • On rare occasions a second visit is needed to complete the work. We will let you know as soon as possible if this is the case.

Operating your Lite Solar

Louvres

Controlled via the static control panel on the pergola leg. We recommend the louvres to slope away from the building. This will ensure any water or moisture is redirected away from the building.

LED lighting

Integrated into the louvre frame. Control colours and brightness via the control panel.

Optional WiFi and Bluetooth Heater

Designed to work with the Lite Solar frame. App and remote controlled, available in Grey, White and Latte. A great addition for year-round use.

What you can add to your Lite Solar

The following can all be added at any time after installation.

Garden Furniture

The most common follow-on purchase for Lite and Lite Neo customers. Corner sofa sets and dining sets work beautifully underneath. The Luna and Havana ranges are particularly popular choices.

Motorised Awnings

A popular way to extend covered outdoor space beyond the pergola footprint.

Keeping your Lite Solar in great shape

  • Check all bolts and structural joints regularly, particularly before and after strong winds.
  • Keep gutters and drainage channels clear of debris at all times.
  • Check the motor housing once a year for any signs of moisture.
  • Clean the aluminium frame annually with a suitable aluminium cleaner.

Please note: We recommend adding your pergola to your home insurance from the day of installation.

Questions

Do you offer custom made sizing for Pergostet Lite Solar Pergolas?

We don’t offer any custom sizes for pergolas — the only sizes available are the ones displayed on the website.

My heater hasn’t arrived yet but my installation is booked. What should I do?

Important: Contact us straight away to reschedule. The heater must be fitted during the build and cannot be added afterwards so it needs to be there on the day.

Can I add any side options to the pergola?

No, we currently don’t have any blinds, curtains, panels or doors compatible with the Lite Solar model(s).

What if my garden doesn’t get any sun?

Whilst the pergola does come with a solar panel to keep the battery charged, you do also have the option of using the mains power using the supplier cable.

Can I add bolt-down to porcelain tiles?

Yes, there is an additional £250 charge for porcelain bolt-down. Contact us to arrange this.
